mikestanleyconcert

Mike Stanley died on 6th June 2013 after a two and half years living with cancer. 18 months on, we can think of no more fitting tribute to him that to gather the voices and instruments of those who shared in the past 25 years of his music and ministry.

Singers, musicians and dancers will gather to perform many of Mike’s best known and loved songs. How do you chose from a repertoire that spans a quarter of a century?

It started at Soli House in the early 90′s with the Lead Kindly Light cassette and continues with the latest CD’s – Faith, Dewfall and Grace - produced and recorded during the period of Mike’s illness and treatment. We’ve lost count of the musicians and singers that have been part of the journey over the years.

We miss his voice. We miss his humour and creativity. A concert seems a small offering in the wake of such a loss. But Mike’s music lives on and it is the best way we know how to pay tribute to his life and legacy.  We hope you will join us.

Proceeds from this special memorial concert will go towards Mike’s nominated charities – St Giles Hospice and CAFOD.
